Camera shots.

This is an unusual perspective camera angle of Rossy (victim), Tashan and Abdishakur. This shows the audience where it's taking place and who is involved.

This is a high angle of Rossy walking towards the stairs. This angle indicates to the audience Rossy is weak compare to the others.

This is an over the shoulder shot of Tashan and Abdishakur slowly reaching for Rossy. This shows the audience that something relentless is going to happen to Rossy.

This is a medium shot of Tashan and Abdishakur grabbing Rossy from behind unexpectedly. This gives the audience a clear view of the whole setting.
This is a long shot of Tashan, Abdishakur and Rossy. This shot gives the audience a better sense of Rossy's emotion as you can see his facial expression.

This is also an unusual perspective angle of Abdishakur, Tashan and Rossy.
This is a long shot of Tashan helping Abdishakur up from slipping on the stairs. This shows the audience that they're both on the same team and are working together as fast as they can to get the victim.

This is a medium shot of Abdishakur and Tashan abusing Rossy up against the wall. The audience can see the character's body language which gives them a better sense of the shot.

This is also a medium shot of Abdishakur holding Rossy up against the wall by his tie. The viewer can see the emotion within Rossy's and Abdishakur's face alongside what physical abuse is going on.

This is a long shot of Tasha and Abdishakur molesting Rossy. This is the last shot which shows the audience that it didn't end on a positive note.

Key Concepts.

LANGUAGE- The genre of this game would be crime and action alongside a first-person shooter game. The title of the video game is bold and is on a contrasting colour. The date the game is released is below the title and also it is in the same colour but in a smaller font. There name of the platform is also stated on the advert so it shows what it's available on.
INSTITUTION- The publisher of this video game is Activision and was developed by Treyarch. The game is only available for pre-ordering for at least £60. This is because of the platform it's available on alongside the high demand for the game. Activision have a good reputation for their other Call of Duty games, this leads to Call of Duty: Ghosts being a high demanded game.
AUDIENCE- This game is aimed for mostly males at the age of 18-25 however those who mostly play Call of Duty are 13-24 year old males, a small percentage (8%) of females those ages also engaged in the game and play it quite often.
REPRESENTATIONA character from the game in a mask with one hand covered in a glove holding the mask half way up his head is beside the release date and title to attract audience as they will recognise the image from previous Call of Duty games. The soldier on the cover is wearing a mask which may suggest that as a soldier and going to war you may witness seeing unusual things such as people who have past away during the war. He may have half the mask on his head because he doesn't want to take it fully off and actually see a ghost.

Summer project.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is a first person shooter video game which was developed by Treyarch and published by Activision. It was released on November 13, 2012 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Microsoft Windows and on November 18, 2012 in North America, November 30, 2012 in Europe. To purchase the video game today it would cost only £23 whereas when it had first come out it was sold for roughly £50. It went on to sell 7.5 million copies in the U.S. in November 2012, making it the highest earning game of the month. Overall, the reviews of the video game were positive as the audio and visual presentations were mostly described as ‘great’. However, many people have complained about the video game being overpriced but due to the change of quality and change of settings from the first Black Ops, it is quite understandable as to why it’s slightly pricey.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 was promoted in several ways; there were printed adverts alongside videos on YouTube. The video advertisement was used to promote the video game on several platforms and was shown on television alongside youtube. There was no difference in any of the promotion for the platforms; the same advertisement was used for all. The video game has a twitter account in order to help promote their video games (one in which was Black Ops 2). There also is a YouTube account just for Call of Duty which promotes
all of the latest news and additions to the
video games.
The target audience for the video game is
mainly for boys (5% of girls play) which are aged 18 years old to 25 years old. Although
the game is targeted at 18 year olds, there are teenagers at the age of 13 that enjoy
the game more than 18 year olds. The game
is seemed to be full of crime and action which
may not appeal to most females but there are
a small percentage of females that do enjoy the company of crime and action.

The marketing and promotion campaign was successful for the video game Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. I know this because it had sold 7.5 million copies in the first month in the U.S only so including the rest of the world there was a higher selling franchise. The game includes multi-player online alongside offline and had a variety of activities to do on one disc which was different compared to other games. Also, teenagers below the target audience are also highly interested in the video game which shows that it has attracted many ages and not only the targeted age which led to Call of Duty selling more copies unexpectedly.

Why did I choose Media?

I chose media because firstly, it seems to be very enjoyable due to the mixture of both, practical and theory. I found the mix quite challenging alongside interesting. I believe I'm a creative person and many people agreed so too. For this reason quite a few people that have previously done media recommended for me to take the option. I also considered media as it would allow me to explore my ideas in a better, more constructive way.
